Affirmable is an innovative and fast-growing UK-based company focused on technology, software and content development. Its vision statement is "together, we can make it happen" and this approach is central to every customer interaction and product release.

Affirmable was founded in 2024, built from day one with AI at the heart of its products and services. Many of the solutions we offer are intentionally AI-centric, designed to help organisations work faster, smarter, and more consistently. But at the core of our philosophy sits something deeper: a commitment to human-in-the-loop thinking and the power of augmented AI. We believe the best outcomes happen when advanced technology is paired with human judgement, expertise, and oversight - not replaced by it.

The Affirmable Offer

Broadly speaking, Affirmable offers two strands of solutions to its customers:

  1. SAAS products and/or apps/web apps
  2. Consultancy and service deliverables

In terms of our products, our flagship product is slideAcross (multilayered interactive presentation software). We additionally publish two consumer platforms: iThank.uk is a solution for automated thank you cards whilst iBudge is a personal finance app / webapp.

Our consultancy and service deliverables are wide-reaching, although we have two services that make up a high proportion of our outputs. Our content library creation service is used by teams seeking to curate a centralised library of resources for bids and tenders etc. Our web design service offers a high quality and affordable solution for organisations of all sizes that are looking for a high quality website that is optimised for mobile, search engines and accessibility.

Meet the Founder and CEO

Martin Tanner spent nearly 20 years working across solutions, bids, sales and data within the recruitment, HR Services and Employability / Skills sectors before starting Affirmable in 2024.

Operational Foudations

Before joining a large employability provider in 2007 he was working for a well-known retail bank providing solutions for customers who had got behind on their credit card payments. Upon joining the employability sector (as an Employment Adviser) he was promoted within a year to the role of Business Manager where he oversaw a large team of advisers supporting long-term unemployed people into sustainable work.

Deep Expertise in Bid and Sales

In 2009 he joined the Business Development team, working as part of a team that secured large-scale contract wins for national employability and skills programmes. In 2011 he moved to another company, within the same group, as Head of Bids, where he was responsible for the team writing and winning tenders for large-scale recruitment solutions (worth hundreds of millions of pounds).

In 2014, Martin moved to another leading global recruitment provider as Bid Director, again building and overseeing a team to win substantial mult-million pound contracts. In 2016 he was appointed to lead a joined up central sales team where he successfully built on the success realised by the bid function with multiple transformational new business wins.

Innovation across Solutions, Implementation and Data

In late 2019, Martin established a Solutions function within the business, building innovative and future-proof delivery models that reimagined the approach to recruitment success alongside related service lines including student support and tutoring. This role encompassed extensive partnerships with HR technology vendors across the end-to-end process for both permanent and contingent hires.

Martin additionally held responsibility for the implementation function before being asked to pick up the organisation-wide data strategy to ensure that millions of lines of data was being captured, processed, visualised and interpreted effectively (and in a compliant way) for both internal and external purposes.

Affirmable - a life-long ambition

In 2024, Martin took the decision to pursue a long-held dream: to establish Affirmable as a business for both software development and consultancy services. This brings to fruition an ambition that Martin has held since he used to write BASIC programmes on his ZX Spectrum as an 8 year old, sending them off to various publishing houses with eager anticipation. Today, Martin continues to work across all aspects of the Affirmable service model and looks forward to engaging with customers new and old.
